It's absolutely not fine. But all attempts to study 3D art failed and my current setup can barely handle the Donut Tutorials - and i won't wait any longer.. And tbh i am fine with the price as long as it works. 3k wasn't, but 2k.. it's ok when i close both eyes and think about something else. About the Drives again: I…
I'm looking to buy a portable 2-in-1 workstation of sorts, mainly for 2D artwork in Photoshop and applications like Maya and Zbrush - along with some notetaking. I've been looking at a few, mainly the Dell XPS 15, Lenovo 720, and HP Spectre x360, but haven't made up my mind yet. Any recommendations?

Just fyi for anyone thinking of upgrading / building a new PC atm; Intel has announced their next generation of CPUs, and NVIDIA today has announced their next generation of video cards. Links:…
The 3900x is both cheaper and about about 15% faster then the 2920x (or about 20-25% faster then a 1950x). It also uses less power then either of those threadripper cpus, and runs on a motherboard socket that is still in use (AM4 has at least 1 CPU generation left before AM5, while those threadripper CPUs use TR4 while…

So with monitor size and resolution, distance from the monitor plays a big role. For a normal desktop situation where the monitor is within sitting arm reach, I'd avoid 27" 1080p unless you have poor vision. If you want effectively a larger monitor, put it closer to your face. Personally I hate working in 3d applications…
