Hey metalliandy, any ETA on the clipboard copy paste support and the 1 pixel bevel fix? I'd like to start using Knald exclusively at work, but I still have to use other apps when extruding 1 pixel patterns, and without clipboard it's time consuming to quickly generate layers for a normal map.
I upload this file in google drive please check because it gives me only one specific mesh though I have more inside like 9 low poly and 11 high poly but when I baked it gives me only "ONE" they are all in the same UV 0-1. I don't want to work in obj please. thank you metal.…
Hi metalliandy, I have a feature request/bug report. When setting only extra fine detail and using a checkerboard as a pattern I get some filtering I'm not expecting from Knald. I had this same problem in CrazyBump, but Ryan was able to fix it. You can take a look at the old thread here.…
I never understood the pressing on the normals that this application did when i played with it, then when trying to mix and match baker files i got very strange restuls, when checking all of them against eachother to see which was "best" or gave the results i wanted. I do like all the other settings like controlling the AO…
@tmighty It really depends what you mean. Technically a normal map is a bump map, as are derivative & height maps (normal & derivative both contain directional data whereas height does not), but assuming you mean the greyscale textures that contain high frequency data I would probably suggest that you run the normal map…
If you want to bake an fbx with multiple _high onto an fbx with multiple _low, use the "by mesh name" baking function of Substance Painter. But if it sounds exciting at first, truth is baking in parts and with the truly amazing inner-outer (cage-range) cage of Knald, you'll get better results. Or at least you SEE what…
Congrats on the release! I picked it up tonight! I have two feature requests that would really speed up the workflow I developed using the beta: 1) A preferences checkbox to ignore the Export Path and automatically dump out maps in the same directory your initial map was loaded from. This way users don't have to manually…

Time for the Knald 1.2.1 Hotfix release! Go to page 12 for details! We are happy to announce the Knald 1.2.0 has been officially released & is a free…
1. Yes that does the trick thanks, now I can zoom into my model slowly. I did notice there is some kind of bounding box though where I couldn't get close to a model I exported with a ground plane? 2. A stack of colour to normal with real time sliders for tweaking each separately. I often find I will export 3 greyscale…
