Intro The leader of the Autobots joins Sideswipe to fight off Starscream in the Transformers PPM universe. Regardless of what anyone says, Transformers are cool. Prime is definitely cool (even though he died in the movie). Need I say that a Prime PPM is cool? Originality
Some would argue that PPMs based on existing characters are not original. I prefer to judge originality on what the author does with the model though. Afterall, most models are based on *something* or other. Now, "what's been done with Optimus Prime that's original?", you may ask. Well, he transforms. That's good enough for me. 5 Stars! The Model
Not bad, but a few things will keep the score down unfortunately. First, the wheels on the legs are cool, but they don't seem to be big enough for him to roll on. Second, there's a weird bend in the elbows. This is a tough one because I know that it's because the author needed to make a funny joint in order to allow it to transform. Still, it looks like he's got broken arms sometimes. Another more major problem is the high face count. Optimus Prime weighs in at a heavy 855 faces. I think that could have been reduced considering that there are no round parts on him. 3 stars. The Animations
Generally well done. Extra points for transforming into the Truck in the taunt animation. The crouch could have used some work though. It looked very awkward. The attack animation was exactly as I remembered it to be. The rest of the animations suited the character well. 4 stars.
A nice skin, very true to the character. Could have used some better shading in some areas but generally a good job. 4 stars.
