Cintiq 21UX problems

Alright so I just got a 21UX and it's acting very weird on me. I will boot my computer and open up photoshop to start painting. The Cintiq works great for about 5-20 mins then suddenly out of no where the pen stops working. When I touch it to the screen the STATUS light pops on, so it's still reading it but it seems to have lost it's connection to actually doing anything. I have uninstalled and reinstalled my drivers completely and that doesn't help. When I go to the Wacom Tablet Properties from the start menu it will then say "TABLET DRIVERS NOT FOUND" even though I could access them before. The only thing that gets the pen working again is restarting my computer.

Any ideas on why the drivers might just suddenly get nuked like that or how to fix this problem?

See if this helps:

(I'm assuming you have windows 7/vista.)
Click on the Windows Start button, type "services" and run the Services program (with a 2 gear icon.)

Right click to stop and start this service: Tablet PC Input Service
Check to see if it works. If not do the same to this service: TabletServiceWacom

If this doesn't help, you may need to seek official Wacom support.

My work around for this is going to "devices and printers" look for the mouse icon with a caution sign by it called "usb input device" and then right click/troubleshoot. This seems to work most of the time

Tnx eyo I'll try that next time this happen on the 24hd (which share the same drivers, there's even warning messages with the 21ux references !). Restarting the wacom service usualy doesn't work.

Hey, I just got over the same problem. Revert to the old drivers, previous one not current.
Fixed it for me.

Also of you go to services try setting the Wacom one to reboot itself upon failure.

Oh my god I'm so glad I found this thread on Google. I've been restarting my computer and re-installing drivers all night! That was all I needed to do. I can't believe the Wacom site doesn't even tell you that...Thanks for the info!

The Wacom Desktop Center is telling me that "No Device is Connected" when my Cintiq 21UX's pressure sensitivity isn't working. I've tried restarting the machine, installing the most recent driver, starting and stopping the Wacom Professional Service in Services.msc... any ideas? The Cintiq works as a monitor, but pressure sensitivity is gone.
