Animator wanting to test animations in game

Hello! My name is Jhalyn and I'm having trouble understanding what I need to learn to get my animations into Unity and setting them up to be tested. I want to learn the technical side of gaming and I want to be able to test my animations in game to make sure they are responsive.  Right now, I'm crazily confused on the differences between animation blueprints, animation montages, and state machines.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to get started on this journey?
