Heyo! Just gonna use this as a thread to post pics from the game me and a few other awesome people are developing called Halfblade . I'd love to hear your feedback and thoughts along the way.
@EliasWick yea the moon is still there, just a little out of camera. I️ am trying to push the mood a little darker and keep your attention more on what’s around you. It Should def feel scary rather than pretty
Looks pretty cool, the mood is definetly there! I would be careful with not making it too dark, it is always a very fine balance between "it feels scary" and "I can't see anything". What is the game about?
@Shyralon good call. Yea I think that got a little too dark. Here's a new pass. I tried to brighten up the lantern more to bring your eye down into the playspace more than getting distracted by the sky.
The game is about an old mercentary knight and his spirit companion trying to hunt down their partner who betrayed them and left them for dead.
Combat is a little soulsy with some stealth elements mixed in.
Just wanted to show my master material here. The first pic is an asset purchased in the marketplace. The second picture is with the color variation of the master material, and the third pic is with procedural moss mixed it. The moss is a mix of worldspace and the R channel of the diffuse.
Redid the lighting and a few other things. We finally finished our basic lvl design, so we're currently blocking out some new areas and gonna start arting them soon.
