Hi all,
I am trying to incorporate more sculpting into my workflow for personal and professional work and would like some feedback on one of my weaker areas, which is tiling dirt textures. Here's my sculpt alongside my composite + paint pass. Any crits would be appreciated on what I can do to improve. Thanks

That is some nice dirt.
I think maybe chill the highlights a tad and amp up the darks a little bit.

Thanks Nat, I'll keep you advice in mind because I accidentally saved over my zbrush doc a few days ago so now I have to redo it...lol
I know there's some way to restore it but I figured I'd take it as an opportunity to approach it differently this time. Here is my current progress for the dirt sculpt:

Cleaned up some of the blobbiness, feel like it's starting to become a good base to paint off of.

Made a quick, more grainy/rocky sculpt to overlay on top of the previous one, since it was reading more like mud than dirt. Current look of the dirt texture atm:

I'm quite pleased with it.

Grass texture I worked on today, seems very noisy though, going to see what I can do about it...

Looking great Ren, really digging your textures so far haha... however with the grass I'm kinda feeling the grass is a little bit noisy and slightly monochromatic... might be coming from all those highlights/white-ish highlights on every blade.

Other than that, lovely work and keep rolling with this bro!

Ayy. thanks Des. You're right about the noise, so I redid the grass with less sharp highlights and detail overall and I think it looks much better now.

The rocks near the waterfall are really blurry atm. drew my eye as soon as i saw it, looks really off compared to the rest of the detail in the scene. Also, the pool or whatever thats in the middle of the camp. needs something in the water, or whatever thats supposed to be. Some sort of detail. Right now just looks like a flat material with a light on it. Otherwise, very nice.
