Even though this thread is about this environment, I looked at your portfolio and you seem to have other pieces with the exaggerated emissive effect.

To save you time, I would definitely start culling back before it becomes a habit.

Tone down the emissive until it looks like the concept.

Overall the ref feels like a slight greenish dark enhance by an half saturated orange, your is more purple, agressive red and burning orange. I think you need to adjust your palette.

Your material surface are not the same than on your ref either. Yours feels not like a shiny dark metal but have more roughness in it, lighter and purple Albedo. And as the other guys said tone down that Emissive as well.

Keep it up it's a nice project !
