I've been using Quixel Suite for some time now and have been experiencing a really slow and unresponsive UI; there hasn't been much improvement since the new patch (2.3)

my specs:
i7 5820K
16GB Ram
GTX 980
Windows 10 64bit

I'm confident that I meet the required specs to run a responsive Quixel but it just seems sluggish to me and even laggy when I hover over icons (e.g. it takes me like 10-20 seconds just to setup and press export...

would really like some help with this issue I'm having

By "Quixel" could you define what you're referring to? Is the issue within NDO or DDO? What project resolution are you working at? How many textures do you have loaded as PSDs - did you add more than the four default ones, if you're having trouble with DDO?

oh sorry, I have DDO and 3DO running at the same time, 4K texture maps, 4 Texture (Albedo, Specular, Gloss, Bump)

Page 20 of my DDO tutorial covers improving performance. You can also try setting your undo levels to 15 or fewer while you work to see if that helps improve PS's responsiveness for you.
