Schierke from Berserk Fan Statue Sculpt

Hey everyone,
This is a project I started a few weeks ago. Its a fan made statue of Shierke from the Manga Berserk. I'm trying to make this project as if it were a Collectible statue so right now I'm working on the sculpt of the character and the base and then I'm gonna do the keying. I'm also gonna texture it and try to get some nice renders out of it. Here's some of my progress so far.

The main pose reference I started from was her casting a spell that creates a giant flood.

However I wanted it a bit more dynamic and asymmetrical so I made some changes from there. Here's my current sculpt so far and a version with some very basic polypaint.

Looking good so far, they hair looks off in the last shot and the clothing could use some love, but I assume you're still working on some of it

Yeah the clothing is still really rough at this point. The last image is actually the more recent hair because I wanted to polish up the base shape a bit more, do a better job on the strands and get it to look closer to the source material. What part of it looks off to you?

Here are some more work in progress shots. I tried to polish up the noise on the hair by making it follow the big curves. Also started sculpting some detail into the clothing and her bag among other things. The clothes definitely still need some polish

Hey,
The hair is looking better now. I think you could try to work more on the shapes of the shoes/boots, try to make it more like it is in the reference.

Very true. They're a little too clean/round as it is right now. I'll work on those soon

Latest update

Spent a lot of time polishing the face and eyes. Added some color to the surface noises on the clothes to make it pop a bit more. Bunch of other things as well but also made her bag much bigger haha

Started painting in the base. Also revisiting the pose and redirecting the flow of the cape so you can see her arm out. Still have to fix the folds on the cape and the position of her hands and fingers but I like this pose much better than the previous one. Also twisted the hat so it would catch a better silhoutte

It could be just me, but those boots still feel like they need more work, specially her left one, at the moment it looks like she is wearing two right boots.

Cool changes on her pose btw.

I gave the boots some more love, also added some more detail to her staff and her bag. Starting to experiment now with the textured version in Keyshot. This will be the last week of working on this piece so should be done soon

Finished up the rest of the base and really started to dig my heels into the Keyshot scene. It's been taking me a long time but I think I'm starting to understand how to wrangle Keyshot a bit better thanks to this project. Here's my first pass so far. Still some tweaks I want to make on materials and certain pieces before I do the final renders.
