I had an adventure today. Rhinokey's Cintiq 21ux was having the worn out video cable problem, where any bumps or wiggles would cause one of the color channels to drop out. I opened it up just out of curiosity and found that, internally it has a DVI-I video connector just screwed in, the power and USB are also connected to the board with their own connectors.

We were going to replace the DVI-I cable with a store bought one but one of those weird tech miracles happened, unplugging the internal video connector and plugging it back in fixed everything. I tugged on the cable pretty good once it was all back together with no video drop out.

I'm going to record a video showing how to take a Cintiq apart using mine as an example and attempt at removing the big multifunction cable and installing a DVI, USB and power ports on the back.
