Question about exporting mesh into Maya

I am retopoing an model in Maya and I am running into a problem.
My acutal model went by fine but the dress has this weird black spot in the middle.
I can not retopo in this black spot and it's in the middle of this dress

Mesh Display> Conform normals, it looks like they're just backward.

edit: or are they? i just zoomed the picture and I can't say ive seen edge lines quite like that unless it's a second set of faces and those have inverted normals.

If I had to guess I'd say the inside portion of the dress is clipping through to the outside of the dress.
