Google Hangouts Alternative.

Me and a couple of class mates use Google Hangouts basically on the daily, just to chill and show work off and for when working on projects together.
It's done the job for quite some time now, but it's missing some huge features like volume control and quality settings, and there's just too much that bugs me about it to want to stick with it for much longer.
Does anyone know of any other cheap to free multi screenshare programs or services?
We've tried team viewer, that was pretty cool but it only supports screensharing of one person at a time, unless you open up multiple sessions. which gets confusing fast.

How i would like to swim in this idea.
I believe you need to pay for Skype to do screensharing with more than one person. Oh, and Skype is awful too.

Edit: Oh shit, i replied a bit too fast, I thought you were looking for a better IM than hangouts, which is pretty bad. I hate that they canned google talk.
about the volume issue current toolbox is out of commission atm due to a bug with the plugin, an update from the creators stated they were trying to fix the bug. So we just have to wait and see
I didn't see anywhere that they knew or where still activity developing the plugin, so that's cool i guess i can hang on till then.
