3ds Max - Changing pivot after animation

Hey there, got a sticky situation - have a rigged character with animations, but the pivots on the character's right-hand limbs are flipped, and when in-engine the animations are also therefore flipped. Is there any way to fix this without having to re-do the animations? I'm using a custom bone rig.

    duplicate the skeleton, collapse it's transforms, constrain it to the old skeleton and trnasfer your skin weights to the new skeleton. if you actally need to collapse the controllers on the new one you can but you'll probably find it's not necessary - you simply animate the old skeleton and pull the animation of the new one
