I don't know. Is there any better solution to an online repository for media? SVN seems kind of bloated for this stuff.

I was thinking Git but the whole inheritance thing makes it worse.

I'm asking for others' experience here.

    I've been using Mercurial as my repository for my various needs. Theres also Git and now that Bitbucket has Git support might check it out.

    Actually just read you want it for media, so if its files over 600mb (i think thats approximately it) then you might want to look into Perforce. Believe you can have 2 free users for P4. DVCS dont seem to enjoy bloated files :(

    There's pixelapse, but i haven't had a chance to try it out yet since it only works on macs right now, so I'm not entirely certain how general it is.
