FTP server question

So I'm uploading some large images. Not super large, but around 7 mb. The FTP goes great to my site but on my site the image only loads about half of it. I tried again to upload the same file thinking it was just a strange connection error and it asked me to overwrite the same file at the same size. That leads me to believe that the full file was successfully uploaded but for some reason I can't view it.

Ideas??

If you're using chrome, you could try shift+f5 to force the browser to reload the image.
