The strangest max bug I have ever encountered - teleporting mouse?

I'm really not sure how to google this, so help me PC!
[Max 2012, 64bit] When I move my mouse over the Object Paint section of the Graphite modelling bar, my mouse disappears, or rather is instantly teleported to the bottom of my monitor directly underneath the 'spacing' setting in the Object paint rollout.

No idea. Has anyone had this before? I'm currently looking for the setting the lets the mouse 'wrap around' the screen when you drag a spinner, although that isn't what's exactly happening here.
