its been bugging me so far.
I absolutely love this concept, it's very stylized and very interesting! I urge you to keep to the concept.

So far the populous vote on here and other input is to stick with the bare chest....so those puppies will stay bare, lol
next thing for me to focus on is getting the face right...its far from the concept at the moment

In the end it's up to you, it's a beautiful concept, very tricky though because just everything about it will throw you off. The pants waistline are almost at her private parts, 2-3 cm more and she would've shown it all. The hips are wide, she looks muscular and honestly her legs look really really long. I do think it can work in 2d, in 3d however it'll take a lot of work to make it look alright.

You really need to work on that squashed in cranium at this point. It can't be helping your proportions on the rest of the model.
Keep the updates coming on this. When I'm good enough I'll attempt this myself. Did u create a new base mesh for this or you got an existing one?
newto3d - I used a generic base mesh that I like to begin my models with
the dog looks like a french bulldog to me.
which is a funny choice for any kinda post apoc world since they can not breed on their own and require artificial insemination and cessarian sections as part of their standard reproduction
@Rhinokey- nice, now I have a better ref for the dog, that is pretty funny now that you mention it, I didn't know that
At this point with everything blocked out, I am doing more detailed hard surfaces modeling in Maya

I'm going to chime in on the boobs and say go with the concept. She really doesn't look like the type to care about being punched in the tit and I think the body paint brings it somewhat into the realm of decency. If you were really worried you might try making them smaller.
Also, Rhinokey beat me to it, but yeah, definitely a french bulldog. I love the shape of those critters, but holy crap do they ever suck from an evolutionary standpoint. Along with not being to procreate on their own, they can't swim!
@Sputch - thank you for your input, I had no idea about french bulldogs until Rhinokey mentioned it. Terrible from an evolutionary standpoint lol
Since the concept doesn't show the back of the vest, I guess I have some creative freedom with it. Any ideas you guys think might be cool?
Or possibly some way those skull things attach, still trying to figure that one out. That is kinda last on the list for the modeling phase.

she seems to have quite long arms and oversized hands on concepts, i wonder if that has a purpose.
your version on the other hand has very small hands.
Why would you ever want to cover boobs, its practical from a sexual standpoint.
Been quite some time since I've posted an update. I've been extremely busy with some freelance stuff, but I am still using any free time I have to work on this awesome concept. Here is the current progress thus far
The back of the vest is pretty intricate, going to be spending some time on that.
really cool. But I don't think that this belt is usefull. It should be over the hips, not under...

@nyx702- trust me, I won't let this thread die. I'm just busy with work that I don't get to work on this as much as I would like, so progress for right now is slow
@texelion- that is a good input, thank you. I'm going to stick close to concept though, and looking at it now, I have my belt a bit lower than the concept. I'll fix that hopefully today if time allows it.

I use the same brush for texturing skin on a low rgb setting, I feel that it coats the colors nicely.
