Printing your own models

Hey guys,

Someone here at Crytek is reworking one of his own models for C2 to be able to print it, I saw a preview of what's it gonna be like and I'm really amazed at the quality and the price.

You can print a 20cm model for slightly less than 250€, with a really good material. (No texture tho).

Just curious, how many of you guys tried to print your own 3D models?

I've had a few pieces done through Des at Ownage, pretty cheap and high quality too...not a scanline in sight I would recomend him any day

I printed a Gears of War 2 jewelry casing I modeled for a necklace I had made for my girlfriend's birthday. Via Shapeways. Wasn't cheap, though - ended up costing more than the necklace itself (which was 3D modeled and custom cast in silver).
