How to make a sweat texture?

Hi Guys,
I am looking for any advice on making a sweat texture for my character.
I have the usual diffuse,Colour specular and normal maps and rendering him in Marmoset.
I am trying to get a look like those seen in Fight Night etc.

Toyed around with some photoshop tutorials i found using a gloss texture but it isn't giving the desired effect.
Appreciate any ideas.

Sweat would mostly affect the specular, it doesn't really need its own texture sheet.

Not completely a shader thing. You'd use an image to mask reflection/specular and animate the UVs.

you could probably get some great photoreffs on your own, that way you could use a solid background and just throw that into crazybump/NDO and use that for yer normal.

I created a tiling animated texture once for sweat & pulsing veins. It came out kind of OK, but it was not super-convincing. I created it in 3ds Max using animated materials on some simple geo (to distort the drips, so the scrolling texture would follow the water courses).



If I was to re-do it I would take a close look at that recent Unreal demo with the sweaty cop.

Umm, shouldn't it have a nmap on it to emulate the volume too?

I think only if you see the character really close up, like up in his grill.
