Max - TexTools AO bake faceted?

I'm using TexTools quick AO bake button, which I love for some simple quick work. The issue I'm having is that, while my model is all set up with smoothing groups, and there's no overlapping anything, the AO bake seems to be coming out as if they don't exist.



Anyone know what simple, mindless thing I'm missing? I guess I'll try doing it manually, the old fashion way.

check the spread angle. sometimes if its above 1 it will do this.
