need help animating top-down level in max

Me and my friends are making a top-down shooter game, now i have the game all set up so that the level moves but the ship and all the stuff stays around 0,0,0. so far i have only used a straight level, so i've just used a script to move it straight down.

our problem is now i want to make the level have curves so i am planning on instead of scripting, animating the level around world coordinate 0,0,0 in max, animating by hand will be too rough. so i was wondering if you knew of a way to constrain the level along a path or something so that the entire level moves through world coordinate 0,0,0

here's a link to a quick animation of what i'm tryin to get at, this is animated by hand and will not work so if you know of a way to do this easier please do tell

so a couple weeks after making this thread i got fed up and sat down for a straight 4 hours figuring this out and boy was it complex. i had to go through 3 scripts since max doesn't provide the right functionality for this task, and those scripts were made for max 6 so i had to change them to work with 2011

but anyway i figured it out and one of my pet peeves is when a thread is left unanswered, so here is my solution

the reason i need to go through all this trouble is i need it to line up perfectly and be smooth as a babies bum.

turn up your volume i have a deep monotone voice so bear with me:).

so yea the video is fast i figure you guys all know this stuff, but if anyone wants a slower tutorial like walk through or just to ask a question my email is alexhackl@live.com.

this technique can be used for any object you want to go through the origin, like say a wormhole animation or something.
