A little late start but let's give this a go.
I'm going to go with the greatest fighting game character ever. Dan Hibiki!
Turns out his homemade Saikyo-ryuu was the one true key to being the greatest fighter, and 30 or so years down the line it turned him into the badass he always thought he was. I'm thinking a somewhat middle-aged and battle-worn version of him, pushed to the completely other side of the parody scale.
His gi is worn and stained pink by the blood of those he's defeated. Plenty of scars and damage from years of being awesome will be needed. I'm thinking of giving him some burn scars around his hands and arms from his uncontrollably powerful gadokens.
Time to go look for more reference. I think this is going to be fun.
