[FIGHTER] Marvel vs Capcom 3, Zero, Urban Gang Thug

Hey Guys! My name is GragGunslinger. I've been lurking Polycount for a long time and decided to finally join up!
I'm going to school for Video Game Art and Design, and I decided to join in and try out this contest.
I was hoping to be able to re-imagine Zero from the Marvel Vs Capcom 3 game.
My idea is to put Zero in a semi-modern (maybe 20 minutes into the future) setting, where he is a part of a gang called the "Mavericks"
(Mavericks where the bad guys from the Megaman series and in Megaman X6, Zero is suspected to have become a Maverick, In this game he has Black/Purple-ish armor.
So it would be an evil version of Zero, in a modern setting as a street thug.
Would that be okay?
I do have a quick question though, Would it be okay if I was to possibly submit another character in this same setting/theme? I know they would be 2 separate entries, but I think it would be cool to see a Megaman Police Detective.
