Static Mesh actor not lightmassing

Hey, i cant run lightmass on a static mesh actor. I keep getting this error.

[Static Mesh Actor] : Static mesh actor has NULL StaticMesh property


There's nothing particular about this mesh other than the fact that it's 3dsMax material is a multi/sub object. Meaning, its material has multiple element. It looks fine in the static mesh preview window, but its craps out when I try to run lightmass.

Any fixes?

    Sounds like there is nothing is there but it's "there". So make sure there aren't two meshes in that spot, and one has no mesh assigned to it. Check the Static Mesh Component.

    But make sure by hitting the binoculars, finding that mesh in the list, hit home key (Or Go To) and hit F4. Make sure a mesh is assigned to it.
