Speedtree Triangulation

Hey guys and gals,
We've just implemented speedtree into our pipeline at work and I'm getting up to speed with the program. There's one things that's really bugging me ... when I bring the model of the tree into engine it sometimes can triangulate the cards badly and I was wondering if there was a way to triangulate the mesh BEFORE exporting from speedtree.
Ive searched around and can't find any help, so I thought I'd come to the experts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.:)
