Freelance Resources?

I'm looking at jumping into the shallow of the freelance pool for part-time work and bolstering finances. It's amazing how much a 7 year old and 5 month old boy eat!

Anyways, anyone have any links or books that helped them get started with finding freelance work? I haven't started to update the portfolio yet or even look for work, but it's something I hope to ramp up to in the next 3-6 months.

if you are american then everything applies to you much better and although the book is mainly about illustration it can be adapted to any artistic freelance business. fantastic read
