Games on the Android

I recently got a Android phone so I've been trying out alot of apps.
I really hate anything that uses a virtual d-pad/button overlay, unfortunately including all the classic games that you can play on emulators like NESoid. I just dont think that kind of control scheme is suitable for a device that doesn't have enough hardware buttons.

I'll start with some games that just appeared on the market recently;

Overkill
This is a bit like R type with tilt controls. Plays really nice, best shooter I found so far. Haven't completed it yet so I don't know how long it lasts and how many weapons there are, but so far I really like it
The ship size is a bit too big though, hopefully that'll get fixed soon! The game only just came out a few days ago.

Hyperactive Ninja
This is a bit like megaman. Wall jumping, fast paced and challenging. The controls are very simple, you basically just tap the screen to jump while your character just auto runs... the skill is all in the timing.
Unfortunately 35 levels isn't really enough, only lasts maybe 2-4 hours. The good news is that it's new and the developer is still actively updating it.

Angry Birds (Beta)
This is a physics based "flinging" game
Very simple, oddly addictive. Theres a variety of birds that you can fling that do different things so it's not just a mindless "fling infinite dummies at a wall until it breaks" thing. Plus you get more points for using less birds and breaking more stuff which makes it quite strategic!

Pictionary online basically. Insanely fun Only problem is sometimes there are idiots on there who just write the word

If you like TD games then you should get robo defense. I've gotten sick of TD games though so I don't like it very much

I tried Robo Defense and didn't like it. I need an RPG or something i guess.
I'll post my list later. I was going to check out angry birds, but heard that it was unstable on the EVO. Since that's the phone I have, I've been waiting for better stability.

I litterally played it for an hour straight when I opened it. First game on my phone I actually find very entertaining (the controls are just not good enough for action games).

too bad, the other 2 clones don't run very well so they're no option.
