quicktime on XP64?

hi,
i could do with a working quicktime on my windows XP64 setup - has anyone got that one running? all i can find is years old info on the web as to how quicktime is not supported on XP64, never will be and how you have to choose 'quicktime alternative'.
unfortunately a pure decoder is worthless to me - i'd need to be able to create quicktime movies (to get smooth turntables out of zbrush).
alternatively, a tip on how to get seamlessly looping turntables out of that strange 'turntable plus' zplugin would work equally well.

As for turnable plus, from what I remember the spinframe count is extremely important (# of frames total vs # per second used out of your total spin time), and make sure to set Overlay Image opacity and Title image fade in/out to 0.
i suppose it won't make any difference for what i intend to use it for anyway
