Weird Photoshop Brush Problems

I can't figure out what is causing this. Whenever I try to use the brush tool, my strokes come out all oddly spaced like this:



Has this ever happened to anyone, and if so how do I fix it?

No, just my opacity. As far as I can tell photoshop has a frequency or distance or whatever before it will place another circle as I move my brush, but I cant figure out how to make it have less of a gap.

EDIT: Found it! I didn't realize that Brush Tip Shape actually had options under it, I always figured it was just a header for the stuff under it.
