i have my bi yearly pain in the stomach (i dunno it maybe comes from an inflamation in the bowels due to a too salty nutrition)

im used to it already but loweres life quality in that times a lot

my attemt to fix that = iberogast, perenterol(when having diareah), fennel tea, and zwieback

my question, is someone of you guys having similar problems and solutions to fix it, also my doctor never suggested me "the right" nutrition to completely avoid these symptoms

also some tips?

Do you have a chance to see another doctor? I would do that if I could.

    Any more details?
    A bi-yearly pain is a bit vague...
What kind of pain? Where? For how long?
Hard to know if you have digestive problems, acid reflux, an ulcer or what...

I have some stomach acid imbalances at times causing my stomach to feel as if it's cramping when I eat. As if the food isn't mixing with the acid. If it gets bad enough I will vomit up a clear non-acidic liquid and then everything is fine.
A generic acid reducer every couple of week seems to help.

    General stomach helping tips:
Drink less acidic sodas, more water with meals.
Don't drink soda or eat right before bed.
Don't eat very late when your metabolism has slowed.
Posture, stretching and general bodily exercise helps.
Try those yogurts that help balance the bacteria in your digestive system, such as Dannon Activia.
    Cut back on alcohol consumption.

i dont really do alcohol(avery 3 months or something)
and its not the stomach its the colon that makes me problems

when i eat cold meals or to much beef for about 5 days my belly feels weird(flatueltia) when eating sweets while the weird feeling it can occur that i feel a piercing pain in thetegion about 3 in above my belly butten which transforms to an vague feeling of soarness around the whole area of the colon
fastening with enough liquid for a week makes me fine usually

i guess i just need more discipline and eat mor soup instead of other crap for dinner would make me healthy for more than 6 month without break

'the right' healthy foods are pretty much the same no matter what.

Eat fruit, vegetables, balanced portions, oatmeal, yogurt, drink lots of water, dont drink too much coffee, dont take in too much sodium if you dont exercise, etc...

    Irritable bowel syndrome maybe?

Back when I had bowel issues, I took this stuff: http://www.aligngi.com/
    Worked great.

Are you happy in life right now? Stressed?
A few weeks after my ex and I broke up, my stomach issues stopped. Go figure, heh.

three inches above your belly button could be the transverse colon. Sweets and red meat being irritants sounds like a decent peg for IBS as well. If it's not a huge deal (twice a year might not be) then a doctor might not take you seriously. If so, and it's really bothering you, go see a GI (gastroenterenologist) instead. A good gi will definitely have a list of things that are common trigger foods to avoid.

For helping with discomfort: peppermint, ginger (fresh ginger), and turmeric are all very good.

Man, this sounds wrong, but you're lucky. I have issues 2 to 3 times a month. I have to take zantac 150 nightly or.I wake up feeling very sick(that's a daily issue). About 2 times a month ill get real bad pains in my stomach area and it sounds like water is shooting through my intestines. Then I spend a good hour in the bathroom (sometimes it hurts so bad it makes me sick). This used to be a weekly issue for me. Now, I seem to have it under control. I cut fast food out to maybe 1 time a month ( taco bell absolutely destroys me ha). Cranberries seem to help me though, either juice or just eating them. Ginger didn't help me, but it may help you.

Stress usually kicks me up also. Start writing down what you eat and daily activities and see if you notice a pattern.

I probably should go to the doctor but I'm uninsured: )

BTW, if there are any typos, I'm sorry, I'm typing on my phone...

Anyhow, If your looking for suggestions. As said keep track of what you eat. I get what you have, though more often, its mainly caused by food allergies. Instead of seeing a Gastroenterologist see a Allergy Doctor to get tested.

Rice and unprocessed foods are safe for me at least.

I spent years seeing doctors and taking tons of tests. Doctor of internal medicine, gastroenterologist, food allergy specialist, had chest MRI's done, CT scans, EKG, barium-swallow live xrays, endoscopy, colonoscopy, poked by a hundred needles, dozens of blood tests - everything under the sun.

Had blood coming out both ends on occasion, obviously worried for my life. All of these doctors and tests found NOTHING except a slight hiatal hernia (small part of the stomach is pushed up into the throat), which is what was causing chest pains and heartburn.

My stomach issues were simply labeled as "IBS", but at least the doctor was honest enough to tell me they say "IBS" when they're pretty much clueless. Those Align probiotic pills helped me quite a bit though, I used them for about 6 months. Up until this past June, I still had issues. But since then, they've completely gone away and I haven't felt this well in about 4yrs.

So definitely monitor your food intake. Eat smaller meals, more often. Chew thoroughly. Try meal plans that are good for people with IBS, see if that helps. Sadly they're very bland (very little salt or spice allowed). Also, give the probiotics a try, see if they work for you.

Forgot to mention, and this sounds whack but it worked for me...

Take a shot of apple cider vinager at least once a week. Gets rid of that 'just ate a ton of McDonald's grease ball in my stomach's feeling I'd get sometimes.

Another option is getting thoroughly tested for food allergies. One of my good friends suffered from near-constant abdominal pain until she was tested -- and discovered she was allergic to dairy, eggs, and gluten (that stuff is in everything).

the whole thing stardted when i had a appendicitis, it got cured medicamentally

my grandma hat a theory of if something that should heal the normal way (or cut out ),often related to atter, harm the full system .

(my greatgrandmother hat a bad ear inflamation and hat her ear full of atter, after getting peniciline agaist it the atter totally dissapeared and noone knew where it gut, soon after she got rheumatism leading her to lay in bed for the rest of her life.

so maybe my appendix caused all that and cutting it out could help (but its just a theory since my digestive system is already attacked, and it could have no effect)
gotta ask my doctor about that...

probiotics give me diareah, im lactose intolerant :(

im also feeling already better because i cut out eating for now, maybe 2 more days and im fina again for now

edit: im already using 2 preparates simmilar to algin, "perenterol and iberogast" they help me every time, but i stop medication when feeling well, to avoid resistance

A lot of doc's don't think parasite or lingering food borne illness at first. Which if you eat fast food you're definitely open to parasites and other nasty things that could be living in your burger. Do any swimming in "fresh" water lakes right before this all started?

Are you sure it was actually appendicitis? From what I remember if its inflamed enough to cause trouble then it needs to come out because its not going away on its own.

It could be Crohns disease? With Crohns part of your intestines become inflamed and swell up causing all kinds of pain and problems.

    I'm going to second this.

Also, my wife keeps her IBS under control by avoiding most types of preservatives in food (which rules out almost all packaged/fast food) and eating more fish and less red meat.

Finally, do a little exercise. It helps relieve stress which is supposedly the main cause of IBS.

after 3 days of eating nearly nothing i feel the hypoglycemia destroying my will to do anything else than sleeping, i have no pain anymore but anythig i eat ... (its like a huge tube, you throw things in and it comes out immediately, you know)

i dont know if i should start eating again or keep it a whaile that way
eating would require medication of the bowels (mainly dry yeast to built up a gut flora)

You didn't have your appendix removed when it was bothering you? Am I alone in thinking that's very uncommon? They usually don't take any chances with that. You have pain in a specific spot? *slice*, out goes the appendix. If afterward it turns out it was just an infection in your bowels, you won't miss your appendix either way.

it is indeed uncommon, and i dont understand it, but (i mean now, not then) find a doctor that cuts out your appendix simply because you want it.

At least get it checked again.
Had a somehow related person whose appendix popped and then thats pretty much game over.
