iPhone woes

Ya'll seem like a smart bunch with these new fangled gadgets. I've not found any answers in google or otherwise. All I can find is uber noob info.

My phone needs to be restored every other time that I plug it in. What gives? Do I need to press "Eject" every time I want to unplug it?

Make sure you are plugging it in through a proper USB 2.0 slot. I ran into the same problem when patching/synching my phone when it was connected through the usb slot on the front of my case (which i could have sworn were usb 2.0, but it turns out I didn't set them up properly).

Using the usb slots on the back of my case worked fine, allowed me to restore the phone, and I haven't had an issue since.


As far as the eject thing is concerned, I never use it. I know when I am synching data and I am careful not to yank the thing out when a transfer is in process, but other then that I haven't heard a good reason to click the eject button.

oh cool I'll try the back usb ports instead of the front which I probably never set up either.
