Figures, its not under warranty anymore so it just off and dies. My 6x8" Intuos 3 is officially dead. I haven't used it in months and broke it out to finish up my thesis project, and get it installed on my new computer, and it won't light up or respond. Plugged it in other computers, same thing. Opened it up and nothing appears to be wrong with it, other than not wanting function. Crap...I needed that stupid thing. Looks like I'll have to stay at work after hours if possible to use our ancient Cintiq. :mad:

just because it's out of warranty, doesn't mean they can't fix it for peanuts. Might be something really simple like replacing the usb cord, which might only cost you a few dollars. You can claim that back if you have home contents insurance.
I've sent about 4 "mighty mouse" mice back to apple, completely out of warranty, cost me about $5 each time.
