Kenpachi mess

I started work on this guy a few weeks ago, working on it abit everynow and then. I would like to finish it as soon as i can.

the character is one from the manga / anime 'bleach', if you aren't familiar with him - here's a pic or 2

I posted a few progress shots back in the 'what are ou working on - 2008' thread aswell, but thought I would make my own so that I could get more feed back. I'm going for a semi realstic feel but as it stands I feel theres something missing and i'm not sure what it is exactly. I still have alot to do, he needs his eye patch and sword / sheith.



He really only has a basic colour layout with some cloth overlays atm, need to grunge him up and what not.
Crits eagerly awaited!

Nice model, but i think something weird is happening to his neck and chest, kinda looks like he has a 4pack on his chest

I dig the clothes and the face. But I am looking at the right hand of the model and I think his thumb curves in the wrong direction.

hehe, always like kenpachi and this model looks sweet But yaa, you gotta give us the jagged sword and his eyepatch. I do miss his typically "Oh you think you can beat me?" expression. Keep it up!

More More more More! I want an update with MORE! The style is looking really great. My only suggestion is that the clothes look rather flat. You could try a nice Satin look on them would make sense and make them pop a bit more.
