Idiot proof realtime preview in XSI?

So I want to view my color, normal, and specular in the viewport. The viewport's set to DX9, and I've gotten this far in the render tree...

DX Texture > DX Shade > DX Draw > Phong Realtime

I only know how to set up the color map. What about normals and spec? (I am reading the manual, yes. But XSI's gone all crashy on me, so I must be doing something wrong.)

    under the netview (alt-5 shortcut) click on the xsi logo to go to the the local net view. from there click on add-ons and directx. find the material preset in there (not hard) and drag it onto your model.

    load up the render tree (7) to change the textures.

    Okay thanks man, got it to work, but it looks as if some verts have unwelded themselves. Lambert_Bump_Textured looks fine, but it hasn't got a specular. I'll try attaching that pass on my own. Phong_Bump_Textured_SpecularMap makes everything come out milky.

    Think I'll use XNormal for now, it's the only realtime previewer that hasn't let me down so far.
