    I like the feeling of it. Well done, the one thing I sure hope they never do in a HL movie is show the scene of Gordon pushing a grocery cart into a "resonance cascade".

    If they did do a HL Movie.. Well, I hope could make a contract similiar to what JK Rowling was able to accomplish as far as creative control with the Harry Potter Movies.

    -NO ROMANTIC INTERESTS (at least in 1)
    -No genetic mutant copeouts
    -Offworld and g-man must be included in finale
    -No crappy dialog, in fact gordons shoudl be minimal. Lots of panting and screams from him though.
    -No pure action. Suspense is the key.
    -US Military attack must be included.
    -Black mesa must be nuked just as Gordon goes offworld.
    -No action, or second rate directors.

    GORDON steps to the edge of the crumbling roof and looks out over the mass of people. T-RAY looks uneasy.

    T-RAY
    Man, I don't know about this! These dudes look like they on a timeout, like they mommas told 'em stand in the corner an' think about what happens when they pick fights with monsters! They look scared, man! With a capital S-K-A-R-E-D!

    GORDON starts to correct him, but thinks better of it. It's been a long day.

    GORDON
    They've been through a lot, T. The mutants have taken their lives and destroyed their homes. But these people aren't ready to give up. They want to take back what's theirs! They want to fight. They want to ...

    He falters.

    TRISH
    Oh, Gordon ... that's just what your father said ... before ...

    GORDON
    I know, baby. I know. And he was right. I just didn't know it at the time. But goddammit, I know it now.

    GORDON addresses the crowd.

    GORDON
    I know you all remember how it was before the terrorists detonated the muta-bomb over Los Angeles and changed our lives forever. Some of you were there. Hell, some of you were under my command. Fisher, you were there. Jiminez, you were there too. Yeah, a lot has changed since then. But there is something that will never change, and that's who we are. We're not rats, scurrying from hole to hole, picking up the scraps. We're not losers, and we're not victims. We're Americans! We love life, we love our country, and we love Freedom! Are we going to let these goddamn slime-faced monsters take that from us?

    CROWD
    NO!

    GORDON
    Then let's show 'em what we're made of! Let's show them what America is all about. And then let's show them the way home -- straight back to Hell!

    As the crowd cheers wildly, GORDON tears the remnants of his jacket off, revealing the bald eagle tattoo, the same as his father's.
