hmm, I just watched this. Really beautiful and impressive, but the story takes a long time to get where it does.. Can't help but feel this could have been a whole lot better if there was more to the story.
yeah, what he's doing is really cool. The idea is that he'll put together a full length film but release it in installments as they're completed. He sells the dvd's with tutorials on how he made the scenes to keep the funding rolling in. I've got the 2 he's put out so far and I highly recommend the first dvd for it's lighting and compositing tutorials...the second is also good but more animation, particle flow\afterburn tuts.
