Business Intelligence Analyst
Psyonix, an independent video game developer located in downtown San Diego, is looking for a qualified Business Intelligence Analyst to join the analytics team. The overall responsibility of the position is to maintain and update BI tools, databases, dashboards, systems and/or methods. The Business Intelligence Analyst will support and work closely with the Business Performance Manager. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with an analytical orientation and strong problem-solving skill-set.
Responsibilities & Job Duties:
· Collect and analyze data through 1st party portals and internal systems
· Create, maintain and validate ETL process
· Troubleshoot any data issues related to tracking and reporting
· Interface with finance and external auditors on a variety of audit inquiries.
· Work with Business Performance Manager to prepare and validate complex revenue models
· Set up reporting to monitor KPIs and perform recurring audits to ensure data quality and
consistency
· Data analysis projects: custom data reporting for media partners, social media valuation
assessments for customers, supporting key product feature development, and more.
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Analytical mindset with a passion for digging into data to identify trends, results and
outcomes.
· Strong communicator who is comfortable interacting with technical and non-technical
customers across the organization.
· A technical understanding of data modeling, design and techniques to take business
requirements from concept to implementation.
· +2 years MySQL experience
· +2 years in an analytical role
· Bachelor’s in a related field or equivalent work experience
· Experience working with large databases
· Hands-on experience automating data flows and end reporting to a variety of end users.
· Proficient in data visualization (Tableau)
· Proficiency with the MS Office Suite including very strong Excel skills.
Preferred:
· Python experience
· Experience working in the gaming industry is desired though applicants from outside of the industry are welcome
· Experience with object-oriented programming
· A passion for gaming
