We are pleased to announce that the long-awaited update to Modo indie is here! 

The Modo 11 Series has delivered value across several key areas:
  • Significantly enhanced workflows for both direct and procedural modeling, MeshFusion advanced Booleans, and UV editing.
  • Performance is accelerated across many areas of the application—including animation, deformation and rigging performance.
  • Overall productivity is boosted with a large number of workflow enhancements across the application.
  • Extended file interoperability with Unreal Engine 4, Autodesk FBX® and many other applications in Modo’s ecosystem.

Current limitations for Modo indie vs full Modo remain the same except for the addition of the glTF 2.0 export and the Unreal Bridge feature.

All prior owners of Modo indie 10 will receive a free update to Modo indie 11.2v3, this includes any of the indie bundle options as well. No upgrade fee!

For new license purchases, Modo indie will only be available as part of a subscription plan and we will discontinue the $299 perpetual purchase option. 

In addition to all the great enhancements in Modo indie 11, everyone will also have access to a technology preview of Modo indie VR! This will be delivered as an additional DLC installation and enable you to switch between both types of Modo indie. Currently, they are essentially the same build and feature set other than the addition of the VR viewport mode.
