Mechanic for Anim

Hey!
I am Currently attending a 3D CGMA class (hardsurface modelling for films). We are at the Blockign stage and have to do also a little keyframe animation. From my concept i could not really read how the mechanic part should work. I created two animations but i cant tell which one feels more right. Below you will see the concept, my blocking and a GIF from the two animations. In the left animation the wing moves more and has a bigger radius because he is only attached to one of the Bars. In the right one it has less movement but the mechanic feels more right for me. But i cant tell anymore what feels right. I need a new opinion ;) So I would love some feedback.
