3d glasses

Hey, I'm just curious of anyone has explored working with 3d glasses (not vr, just the ones that you use in the cinema an on some televisions), but since I think we all know how hard it is to perceive depth when working with 3d, I was just curious, has anyone tried using 3d glasses while working? If that's even supported in any suite. I think it'd be interesting to experiment with as depth perception is something I find to be a big hurdle when working.

Never even thought about it to be honest! I'm not a big fan of the technology, the only place I've ever seen it work well was in BFI IMAX in London, everywhere else it just seems blurry and annoying.

Totally agree, usually takes away from movies more than it adds, but here i could se an application for it.

well it's not 3d, thats the biggest problem. if you move your head you can't look at the model from another angle with these things. So i think it is kinda pointless

Ofc it's not 3d in that sense, but what I'm considering is that the depth perception might give you an edge working.

When the trend was new, I remember some people blogging about using the lenses with a standard screen but I don't recall any cool outcome. I'd think you'd need a larger display pushed farther back than usual. Another "trick" I saw was removing the polarizer film from the screen and viewing with polarized lenses instead for privacy. People without would see a white screen without them.
