Hey,

quick question since I couldn't figure this out.

I have an interactive groom in Maya and want to bake that to a texture. I would need to bake diffuse and alpha to a simple plane (and maybe some other textures like a depth map).

Basically, I need all the textures that are mentioned here:

https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Resources/Showcases/PhotorealisticCharacter/index.html#hairauthoring

What would be the best way to do this in Maya? I did found a nice tutorial for 3DS Max here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEPvLEa65i4

So I want to do the same, but just in Maya.

Any ideas how to do this? I did try to bake the groom down to a mesh and try to bake the maps in Xnormal. But that didn't turn out all that well.

Would be really thankful for any kind of input!

Thanks
