zbrush - working with edges?

Hi friends,

I've been dealing with this problem for some time now, but I want to get to the bottom of this. My issue is rather difficult to explain so I recorded a video of it.

The problem I face is working with edges, they seem to stick and hold their place when I want them to either move/smooth out. Any ideas?

you could try to move that edge with move elastic (b,m,e) It works a bit better than normal move in this case. Also you could try and use planar brush(b,p,l) and start your stroke from the flatter area and then move to the edge and the edge will be at the same level as the flatter area. I hope it makes sense

PS. also clip curve can be very handy as it can also flatter the area

Does this help? There are other smooth brush modifiers you can play with aside from the Min Connected one.
