Its a cool concept with good anatomy. I think that the blue rim light should be more visible on other parts like the head tentacles and more of the face. This is just based on the way the character is facing, it makes it feel a bit flatter without more of the blue rim light.
Also the repetition of the same drawing is a little disconcerting. Its obvious that it is the same mutant that is slightly distorted for the background mutants. Since your tentacles and mouths are in a distinct formation it feels a bit off. Id suggest slightly changing the others or getting rid of them altogether.
