For sure. Without you mentioning they were houses, I just perceived them to be decorative foliage. I would probably also add a stronger light sources on the arch. It's fighting for attention with the Flood Inn's sign right now

@chubbycat haha! they do look like fungus on a tree! and thanks for the input! 
The flood inn's sign contrast against the sky is strong yes, will tone that down and increase light on the arch.
thanks a bunch sometimes when you know what somthg is in your own piece, it's hard to tell if people can do the same.

Same here, I thought they sorta looks like bells or decorations hanging around. 

I might suggest adding something insanely small next to the colossal arch so that the viewers can really take the scale first-handedly; like a tiny silhouette of a person or something. 

REally like the idea and composition; cant wait to see where this goes!
