Maya 2016 Scale bones non-uniformly for animation

Hey guys, I'm a terrible person and for years now I've been animating bones in scale *GASP* ... and even worst... NON-UNIFORM SCALE  *DOUBLE GASP*!!

I've never had trouble doing it in maya 2015 or did I get too much trouble integrating animations with non-uniform scale in Unity. However, I just started using Maya 2016 and now It seams I can only scale uniformly on bones. it locks individual axis if i try to select them. Is there a way to disable that?
