New World Interactive, the creators of Insurgency and Day of Infamy, are looking for an exceptional and passionate character artist to work remotely. You will work on Insurgency Sandstorm, our new single player and multiplayer realistic military shooter for the PC, Xbox One and PS4. What do we look for:
● An excellent understanding of human anatomy, shape and form
● An expertise in sculpting hard and organic surfaces, low poly modelling, UV mapping and PBR materials
● Experience with Marvelous Designer
● Strong in 3DS Max (or any other modelling package)
● Expert sculpting skills in Zbrush (or Mudbox)
● Expert knowledge of PBR texture/material workflows (Photoshop and Substance Painter)
● Be able to work on either characters, clothes, gear and props
● Ability to be in constant communication with team members
● Eye for lighting, shade, color and detail
The character artist needs to be able to:

● Work closely with management and other character artists to maintain and develop the visual style
● Be able to work both with and without concept art. Assist in character concept and design
● Ability to be flexible and adapt to changes when requested
● Excellent organizational and time management skills. Be able to produce high quality assets in a timely manner
● Be able to work around 40 hours a week
● Be able to communicate well in English
Desirable Requirements:
● Professional 3D game art or feature film experience
● An interest in first person shooter games
● Military gear & hardware knowledge a plus
● Experience with Photogrametry
● Experience with Unreal 4 Engine
