Need Help in Zbrush - Trouble Applying Cylinder Primitives

I hope this is the right forum section to post in. I'm trying to make a character skin for Warframe Tennogen, for Ivara. I want to give her goggles, which could be made to look like night vision by the player's customizations if it gets accepted. I've cut down a few facial features and added a sphere which i'm hoping to make glow with emissive mapping later on in Substance Painter. But i'm struggling with adding and editing cylinders to build the goggles.

Should i use the insert cylinder brush to add my basic shape and modify the topology from there, or add cylinders as a new subtool and mirror them? This image shows where i am with having added a cylinder as subtool and mirroring it. I can't figure out how to move them closer together to match the eye sockets.
