maya xgen Failed to import collection?

Hey I opened a save and the xgen editor is gone i can't load my gameart1 collection from my scene? Sorry if it's a simple question I'm still really new to xgen.

have you set the project path..?
you need to work with maya projects...

No I've never set a project path in my life, The save file opened up fine yesterday but since today it fucked up. Should I start using project paths?

yes xgen does not work without...
it cant find the files its saving...

and make sure that there is no space in the path... 
..blblabal/lalalal alala/hiho/   --> wont work...
..blblabal/lalalal_alala/hiho/  --> does work..

Yup I lost everything again any idea why? i opened it up today everything went fine closed it and opened it again later and everything is fucked up again.

that does not look like a maya project...

have you created one..?
File --> set Project
File --> Project window --> Accept

this should create in that location a lot of folders...

your maya file should be in the scenes folder...
