I'm attempting a more Impasto/Impressionist base, and I cant seem to find if there is any way to dynamically make the color of the brush change to and from a background color along with hue/saturation/brightness.  Sorta like the Color Dynamics for Brushes under Photoshop allows.

Can anyone think of a way to emulate this?  Using grunge masks to do this wont allow the control I'm after.

Also, swatch?

I don't know if this will be helpful but I found this brush awhile back, I've yet to use it myself but I have it because I have my own ideas to use it.  The only thing I can come up with is layering various colors with fill layers and use this brush on the mask of each layer, slowly picking up the look you're going for.  It may help, it may not.  The user has another brush that might be helpful as well.  I do like this idea and you  might want to post in the Allegorithmic Features Ideas board with it.
